Project Description

This research facility, located at the intersection of Interstate 59 and state route 49 was completed in 2010 and it features a 60,000 SF facility, including private offices, laboratories, a high throughput formulation science lab, a pilot plant, along with world-class expertise in complete product development and commercialization. Each laboratory was designed with state- of-the-art equipment, ample technical desk and storage space, and is supplied with hot and cold water, natural gas, nitrogen, and lab-grade compressed air. In addition to lab space, the facility offers fully furnished single-desk offices and group cubicles for lease, equipped with desks, storage and seating. Nigel Gray, while working at Farnsworth Group, Inc., led the total building commissioning process for this facility. Systems within the commissioning scope were mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, fire alarm, security, laboratory, and envelope.

I was a bit apprehensive to start out. I wasn't sure about commissioning, but this project was completed to the full satisfaction of the university.
